The Cantwell Community Room of the Saranac Lake Free Library may be used by recognized, local, not-for-profit, non-religious, non-political groups or organizations for educational, informational, or public service functions providing those meetings are open free to the public and do not involve fund-raising activities other than for the Saranac Lake Free Library.
Maximum Occupancy: 120
The Cantwell Community Room may be reserved by an individual or an organization and is limited to a single session: requests for multiple reservations for a sequence of several meetings over period of weeks may be granted by approval of the library Director or the Board of Trustees.
Use of the Cantwell Community Room is under the immediate supervision of the library Director.
Keys to the Community Room may be issued only for the day of the reservation.
Rental charge to cover overhead costs must be paid the day of room usage.
$10 for groups of 10 or less
$20 for groups of 11-50 people
$25 for groups above 51
$5 additional charge for kitchen use.
The renting organization or individual must fill out the Room Use Request Form and receive a copy of the Room Use Policy. The Staff will then place the Use Request form in the binder and mark the calendar.
